Our vision is to be a leader in lime and dolomite, and one of our overarching goals is that we will always do better. We have been ISO certified in accordance with NS-EN 9001 for 20 years and have good management tools for the production processes in our value chains.
We quality-assure our value chains through descriptions of all our processes and individual activities through goals, strategies, action plans, procedures and routines – which are available at all times. This ensures traceability between expected and actual activity.
We use our event management system to record non-conformances, observations, hazardous conditions, unwanted incidents and proposed improvements, and we always measure how well we meet the expectations of our customers and other stakeholder groups.
All of our companies are certified to NS-EN 14001:2004. The standard requires the company to develop environmental objectives and the management systems required to achieve such objectives.
The internationally recognised standard for environmental management, ISO 14001, is general in nature, and can be used by all industries. It was developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is based on two concepts: continuous improvements and compliance with environmental regulations.
Elements of the standard
The standard contains key elements for effective environmental management. It can be used both in the service sector and in manufacturing companies. The standard requires the company to develop environmental objectives and the management systems required to achieve such objectives. The standard also requires the company to adhere to the system’s processes, procedures and activities.
The standard requires companies to map out all environmental aspects related to operations, and then take action to improve processes and process traceability in priority areas. ISO 14001 sets out good practices for an improvement policy related to the company’s environmental impact.
